Best time to visit Egypt

The best time of year to visit Egypt depends on your plans. Travelling to Egypt between October and April is ideal if you want to see the pyramids and other ancient sights. Extremely low humidity and temperatures of up to 20 degrees Celsius characterise these months. The peak tourist season runs from May to September, so if you come outside that period, you can avoid the crowds.

The months from May to September are ideal for beachgoers and water sports enthusiasts. Temperatures average between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius during these months, and humidity is high. However, bear in mind that the Red Sea can get quite crowded during this period, so you might consider going to one of the less popular beaches.

In general, October to April are the best time to visit Egypt. There is no better time to visit than these months, when the weather is pleasant and there are fewer people. Festivals and cultural events, such as the Luxor Temple Sound and Light Show and the Cairo International Film Festival, are also at their peak during this time.
